DeeDee Taft - Principal

Principal DeeDee Taft brings more than 17 years of public relations expertise to her agency. She has extensive experience in media relations, community relations, promotions, crisis management, acting as a spokesperson, new product launches, multiple city tours and more. Prior to starting her own firm, DeeDee served as Media Relations Manager for Macy’s West, representing all media relations efforts for a chain of 101 department stores spanning six western states.

She also served as senior account executive with Bailey/Gardiner Creative Communications, Inc., a highly regarded San Diego-based agency. DeeDee developed, managed and implemented complete public relations programs for a wide range of clients including Tiffany & Co., San Diego AIDS Walk, Laurel Restaurant & Bar, San Diego Boat Show, Crescent Shores Grill atop Hotel La Jolla, California Cafe, Horton Plaza, Parkway Plaza, Hazard Center, Singing Hills Resort, White Water Canyon Water Park, Fins Mexican Eateries, Sager Scott Studio, Coronado Visitors Bureau and Coronado Transportation Management Association.

In addition, she was assistant director for the Coronado Visitors Bureau where she represented the city of Coronado as a destination to national travel writers and editors throughout the country. DeeDee is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Motor Press Guild and the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served on the board of directors and as a committee member for several non-profit organizations. Her dedication to the non-profit arena includes leading the public relations efforts for Marin Cancer Project, One Warm Coat, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Francisco and the Peninsula, Leukemia Lymphoma Society - Team in Training, American Cancer Society, Mama-s Kitchen, Share Our Strength Taste of the Nation, International Latino Film Festival and more. Not only passionate about PR, DeeDee is also an avid runner who loves hitting the trails near her home in Mill Valley, spending time with her kids, playing tennis, skiing, discovering new restaurants and traveling the world.

Shelbi Okumura

Shelbi Okumura - Senior Account Executive

Shelbi has led national and international public relations campaigns for a variety of clients including the Beijing International Triathlon, Motor Trend International Auto Shows and the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. Her public relations expertise ranges from tactical media relations to crafting timely stories to appeal to television, print and online media. A San Francisco Bay Area native, she holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Shelbi loves world travel (her favorite spots are Bali, Jordan and South Africa), scuba diving (especially in Hondruas) and posting photos to Instagram.

Hope Timberlake

Hope Timberlake - Account Executive

With her strong communications background, Hope has spearheaded media training and manages a speaker’s bureau for several tech and ad clients. Her focus on creating clear and persuasive messaging has been utilized by Bank of America, Blackrock, UCSF, Microsoft and Clorox. A fitness guru and triathlete, Hope’s passion for endurance sports has been key to Spin’s sports arm including the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, Beijing International Triathlon and Bay to Breakers. Hope received her Master’s from the University of California, Berkeley and when she isn’t training for a triathlon, you can find Hope hiking and biking out on the trails of Marin County.
